Business901 hosts the “Lean Marketing Assessment” on Wednesday mornings at 11:00 AM . This program allows participants to gain a clear snapshot of their present marketing conditions and practices. The participants can use the assessment to determine areas in need of improvement and develop a plan accordingly.

The Business901 Lean Marketing Assessment is used to determine a company’s current position relative to the recognized practices of a Lean Enterprise. It begins with an outline of the Key Performance indicators and the scoring system that is used in the evaluation of each. The participants complete the assessment during the process and active participation is encouraged to reinforce the evaluation of each indicator. The final element is a review and explanation of the scatter diagram that is created. This will allow participants to see the areas of greatest concerns and strengths.

Marketing should be effective, efficient, and innovating, while focusing on understanding the customer’s needs. If we keep these thoughts in mind, we will only produce materials of value to a customer and only give the material to the customer when he needs it versus a constant barrage of information. The lean marketing assessment will provide a baseline upon which you can improve and most importantly provide a reference on what to do.

Many companies are now critically evaluating their processes to determine their marketing effectiveness in bringing their message to their customers. Marketing techniques of yesterday are being replaced by more efficient methods of engaging their customers  and as a result greatly minimizing costs.

Lean manufacturing is a whole-systems approach that creates a culture in which everyone in the organization continuously improves processes and production. It is a system focused on and driven by customers, both internal and external.

Today’s companies must be innovative while focusing on waste reduction, improved lead-time, maximized flexibility, and upgraded quality. Remember the old adage about marketing - only 50 percent of your marketing works, you just did not know which 50 percent. Can you afford these results? Lean marketing principles will allow you to implement proven strategies.

Now ask yourself this question, Is your marketing giving you a sustainable advantage over your competition?
